The Panobridge M1 available at Night Vision Guysis an all-metal binocular/dual-monocular bridge mount designed for combining two night-vision monoculars (typically AN/PVS-14s) or pairing a PVS-14 with a compatible thermal monocular on a helmet. It allows each tube to articulate independently — each side can swing up out of the line of sight when not needed — yet still maintain rigid positioning for accurate alignment when deployed. It includes a feature called AFOV (Adjustable Field Of View) which lets the user pan the two monocular arms outwards to achieve a wider field of view, then lock them in place.

Description

Panobridge M1 is an advanced, incredibly lightweight, all-metal night vision bridge mount that provides patent-pending Adjustable Field of View technology with two milspec AN/PVS-14s and compatibility with a variety of thermal monoculars. Its structure is constructed from high-performance 7075-T6 hardcoat anodized aluminum and stainless steel components.

The M1 provides on-the-fly pan angle adjustment with the ability to individually lock each side, extreme rigidity, and rugged durability. To adjust the pan angle, simply grab one arm and firmly rotate the friction-based mechanism. To mechanically lock an arm at the chosen pan angle, use a 3/32″ hex wrench or the 3/32″ bit from the included NVAT (Night Vision Accessory Tool) and tighten the top-mounted set screw.

The Panobridge M1 weighs 1.9 oz in its standard configuration with two PVS-14 arms installed, and approximately 2.3 oz with one PVS-14 and one thermal monocular arm. This makes it approximately 65% lighter than the KVC Universal Night Vision Bridge with OSS shoe sets installed and approximately 25% lighter than the IC® Dual PVS-14 Light Weight Mounting System. When collapsed for storage, its footprint is approximately 3.00 × 3.00 × 1.50 inches.

With Nightline, Inc. NL914C Power Packs installed on each AN/PVS-14, panoramic night vision can be achieved at a total weight of 21.9 oz, or 20.3 oz with RPO lightweight lenses. With Nocturn Industries Tanto monoculars and RPO lightweight lenses, the total weight can be reduced to 16.2 oz.

The Panobridge M1 has successfully passed 2-meter drop tests on concrete while connected to AN/PVS-14 models. Its all-metal construction provides improved rigidity, strength, and durability compared with polymer versions.

Both attached monoculars can be individually swung upward out of the line of sight without disturbing the adjacent device’s positioning. This articulation also allows the PVS-14s to sit closer to the helmet when the assembly is folded into the stowed position, helping provide a more balanced center of gravity and reducing the possibility of impacting objects above the head.

The included arms are compatible with mil-spec AN/PVS-14, Vyper-14, AB Night Vision MOD3 (autogain version), Knight’s Armament M-14 chassis for PVS-14, and Nocturn Industries Tanto monoculars via the appropriate adapter.

Separate metal adapters are available for thermal monoculars using Mini-Rail / MUM attachment systems, including FLIR® Breach, Infiray® MH-25 / RH-25 with mini-rail installed, Sionyx® OPSIN, and MUM-14 night vision monoculars. The adapter can be mounted to either side of the Panobridge M1.

A separate quick-detach (QD) adapter is available for thermal devices using male dovetail mounts, including Infiray® RH-25, N-Vision® NOX18, and similar thermal devices. The adapter can be mounted to either side of the Panobridge M1.

A slider allows adjustment of the interpupillary distance, with a supported range of approximately 55–75 mm.

The Panobridge M1 requires a dovetail-type NVG helmet mount and is not compatible with bayonet-style night vision helmet mounts. A Wilcox® G24 is recommended as a pre-assembled helmet mount with dovetail adapter.

A technical consideration when using two PVS-14 monoculars is collimation. The images from paired monoculars may not be perfectly aligned, which can potentially cause eye strain during extended use. If necessary, the paired PVS-14s can be professionally or manually collimated.

No auto-shutoff system is integrated. Users must manually turn off the monoculars when flipping up and stowing the equipment on the helmet.

The Panobridge M1 includes a no-questions-asked, transferable lifetime warranty. It is proudly made and assembled in the U.S.A. and was designed by a Marine Corps combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan.
