Serviceable
Bought this as my first analog NV clip-on unit, and have used it in rain, snow, fog and more, and its extremely reliable. Once you have it focused with your optic, its extremely quick and hassle-free to mount and dismount it. Clarity is like that of any gen3 tube; you can easily see human-sized targets out to about 600 yards on a moonlit night. On pitch-black nights you will definitely need illumination, but it is very sensitive as is with even the most minor ambient illumination from the moon and stars.
