Question
There is not much extensive information or reviews about this scope anywhere online. Can anyone speak for its performance, especially over long distances (250+yds)?
From Dan on Feb 12, 2017
Answer
Hi Dan. 4x magnification is probably not ideal for ranges beyond 200-250 yards. You should consider the 6x version of ARES for those distances. Otherwise, the 3P night vision tube is superb. Pinnacle technology is what US Army is using. Optics on the ARES are not as good as some mispec units but certainly very capable for a consumer level unit. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
