Good product, but be sure you have enough room
I bought this adapter. I have several 40mm scopes and I found out I am going to have to use some high mounts instead of medium mounts on my bolt actions that I want to use this on. It is a very good product and fits good but on one of my bolt actions the adapter touches the barrel, so I am scared to shoot it until I change out my mounts...Not sure the exact room needed for this to clear but Stephen B might know

A Must Have for CO
This is a great mount for attaching my CO to my VX3. It comes with many shim rings and the fit over the objective is perfect on a 4.5-14x40 Leupold. The thumb screw is easy to use and get adapter tight. I recommend getting one mount for each size obj you have, you wont be disappointed!

Question
On your armasight thermal clip on adapters, do you have inserts for scopes with a smaller objective diameter than 42mm?
From Gerald on Feb 12, 2015
Answer
Hi Gerald, can you describe your full setup? Is the thermal scope going to be mounted directly onto the dayscope? Is there room on the rail to mount the scope directly to the rail? What is the daytime optic you will be using? We can certainly make suggestions for the correct setup once we have this information.
Question
The scope had just enough room underneath it to squeeze this adapter on. If the adapter fits good, but is barely touching the barrel is it safe to fire?
From Sidney on Jan 26, 2016
Answer
Hi Sidney. Sorry for the delay in response. What you described should not be a problem if all the part are connected well.
Question
Two questions. 1. If I buy the one to fit a 50 mm objective can I buy just the insert to fit on a 40 mm objective? 2. I need this mounting system so that the unit can be used on my SBR. Not enough rail. My SBR has a 10.5" barrel and I have a Vortex 4-16 PST on it. I only shoot it with my AAC 7.62 SDN on it. Any concern that the unit will get damaged if partly over a suppressor? Lense etching, etc.

Question
Hello, I am getting ready to pull the trigger on one of these for my co-mr 3p. I would just like to know if the dimensions listed are the outside objective bell diameter. So for example my objective lens is 32mm and the objective bell outside diameter is 38 mm, so would the adapter #2 be my best bet. This will be used on my cz452.
From Dave on Jun 08, 2017
Answer
Hi Dave. Adapter #2 is the correct adapter for your scope.
Question
If I use this adaptor to mount my clip on to my normal day scope I do not have to have the clip on attached to a rail correct? The adaptor will hold the weight of the clip on to the day scope?
From David on Jan 11, 2018
Answer
Hi David. That is correct. If you attach to the rail, then this adapter is not needed. This adapter allows you to couple the clipon to the scope.
