Gen 1 Night Vision
1st generation is currently the most popular type of night vision in the world. Utilizing the basic principles described in detail in our guide, a 1st generation unit will amplify the existing light several thousand times letting you clearly see in the dark. These units provide a bright and sharp image at a low cost, which is perfect, whether you are boating, observing wildlife, or providing security for your home. You may notice the following when you are looking through a 1st Gen. unit. A slight high-pitched whine when the unit is on. The image you see may be slightly blurry around the edges. This is known as Geometric Distortion. When you turn a 1st Gen. unit off it may glow green for some time. These are inherent characteristics of a 1st Gen. unit and are normal.

Armasight ORION 4X
Mounted this on an SK I have modified and it looks pretty nice. Was able to effect a good lock-up to line-of-sight when shouldering. I didn't realize how heavy this scope is. I will not be toting this configuration all over God's creation however I will definitely enjoy employing this item on Nutria that are found here in the Willamette Valley. Not Hog hunting but it looks like it will hold up to getting wet.

Very happy customer
Recently purchased an Armasight Orion 4x, got the best deal on it through Night Vision Guys. Got the scope in no time, It works great . On a full moon night IN SNOW can easily see 250 yards and coyotes with out a problem, with no snow and no full moon can still see 75 to 100 yards. I love this scope, works perfect on a .223 rifle.

Quality product. Best price. Outstanding customer service. What else can you ask for! Recently I was in the market for a night vision rifle scope to eliminate predators on my farm. I read several online reviews and watched several screen-shot videos of various units and decided on the Armasight Orion 4x. It didn’t take long to find that Night Vision Guys had the lowest price going! Once my Orion arrived and I showed it to some friends we quickly ordered two more! The unit is extremely well made and once sighted in it does a great job out to about 100 yards, depending on ambient light. The IR illuminator really helps. Granted, it does take some adjusting to get the clearest sight picture but once adjusted, you won’t be disappointed. As far as customer service, Night Vision Guys is fast to answer all my questions and they ship in stock items out very fast. If you are in the market for night vision optics you can’t go wrong dealing with these folks! Thanks again NVG for your great products, low price and most of all, outstanding customer service!

Great scope
Wanted to try out night hunting for varmints and predators. Looks great and works great so far. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet, but sure it will be fine.

Great scope for the money
Great scope for the money. Nvg were very helpful in helping me figure out what scope would work best for my intended use which is predator hunting. The scope is clear on a moonlit night without the ir on. Can see around 75-100 yards pretty clear with the ir on. Was easy to sight in during daylight hours with the lens cover in place. I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a good gen 1 night vision scope.

My wife loves this scope!
I got this for my wife and she loves the scope. Nights are like daytime, even the darkest night can produce 100 yard accurate shots! Coyotes watch out.

Armasight nightvision scope
I have been using this scope on my crossbow for several months now, I love it. I only use it to about 50 yards and the sharpness is very good. The scope comes with 2 batteries, 1 for the scope and the other for the IR illuminator. The batteries are CR123A for both and last a long time, I am still on the batteries they sent me. The scope will see much farther than I mentioned, just not what I am doing with my crossbow. The only complaint is that I feel the power button and the IR illuminator are on the wrong side of the scope, unless you are a lefty. It is a minor thing, but hard to turn on and off while holding up the bow, should have been on the right so you could operate with your trigger finger. It is well made, just a bit heavy, but they all are, and worth the money, I do recommend this one with the Gen 1+, a big step up from the older night vision I had before.

Very good product for money used in full moonlight and clear as day could see out good 150yards sighted in at 100 yds with a tight 1 inch pattern ,night vision guys sent it in very reasonable amount of time and very helpful thanks armasight for great product and thanks nvg exceed my expectations for gen 1 night vision

Great scope for the money!
I bought 2 Armasight Orion night visions scopes from NVG. The buying experience was excellent. Good guys to deal with. The scopes mounted and sighted in easily. We use these scopes for hog hunting. At night with a little moon light, everything is lit well and hogs are easy to see. When it is pitch black, the illuminator works wonders. Just flip it on and whatever you are aiming at is lit up as if you put a spotlight on it. Killed a nice 250 pound hog from 50 yards with no moon, and was able to see it as if it was in the middle of the day. I recommend the Armasight Orion! Thanks NVG!
