The PS31 is a compact, lightweight Gen 3 night vision goggle system. It utilizes two high performance imageintensifier tubes to provide extremely clear and crisp images under the darkest conditions.
This dual tube design provides increased depth perception and outstanding clarity. A built-in IR lets the user easily read a map and function in a total darkness environment.

Solid and light weight
These are some good quality NODs, but if you do decide to get one for yourself, go get some training to make the best out of what you paid for. I got a pair of these PS31s Gen 3 straight from ATN, and this model is one of their newer (and lighter) version. After some initial adjustment attaching the gear to my helmet, it stayed solid and was easy to move around with. It produced a crisp and clear image as promised and expected. The field-of-view is also wider than most tubes for its price. I found similar products from other companies that offer the same 50 degree FOV but they were more expensive. I just don't see the logic of paying twice of what I already paid here to get the same quality. It's just not necessary. The balance in price, quality, and value for this product is just right, and this is why I chose ATN. This was definitely worth the purchase, and I will definitely get in trouble with the wife when she finds out how much I paid for it. No regrets though.. I like to live dangerously. I'll be back to get that battery pack that offers 300 hours of continuous operation. I don't know what I'll need it for but it's a cool upgrade to have, and besides, 2020 has been a dark year. I might as well go dark with it.
