Armasight Spark Night Vision Monocular packaged with the Goggle Kit #1 (ANHG000001) makes for a great value.
What makes Armasight Spark Night Vision Device so unique is it's innovative tube. This new tube uses special ceramic core. This give Armasight Spark night vision monocular certain features which are normally found in gen 2 units. For example very high resolution of up to 70 lp/mm. Ceramic core also brings the edge distortion to a minimum and increases photo sensitivity. As a result this Gen 1 unit performs almost as well as a Gen 2 device for a very modest price.
In this SKU: NSGSPARK01CCIC1 Armasight combined the award winning Spark night vision monocular with a the headgear set. By buying this package instead of buying the components independently, you further reduce your cost of owning this amazing night vision device.
Eventhough this kit includes headgear, Armasight Spark can still be used a handheld monocular. Not only that, it can be used in conjunction with some optional accessories to increase magnification, mount on a small caliber rifle or attach to a camera for night time photo shoot.
If you are in the market for a gen 1 night vision monocular which will give you visible range of over 100 yards at a minimal price, the Armasight Spark-G is your choice.

Gen 1 Core Technology Night Vision
CORE™ Image Intensifier Tube
Thanks to the latest advancements in electro optical manufacturing Armasight redefines affordable high
performance night vision with CORE™ (Ceramic Optical Ruggedized Engine) Image Intensifier
CORE™ VS. Gen 1
Unlike Gen 1 Image intensifier tubes that are fragile by a virtue of being made from glass, CORE™ IITs
are made just like Gen 2 and Gen 3 by fusing metal alloys with ceramic compounds. CORE™ technology
is based on durable elements and allows tight component stacking, resulting in image tubes that are
exceptionally shockproof and vibration resistant. This makes CORE™ IITs ideal for weapon sight
application. Robust packaging envelop lacks easy-to-break protrusions common in Gen 1 tubes and
allows for streamline design of lighter, compact and more reliable night vision devices.
CORE™ platform offers best in class resolution with over 70 lp/mm, increased photocathode sensitivity
level in upwards of 400µm/lm and infinite (!) Signal to Noise (SN) providing image quality in prevalent
ambient light condition rivaling high end Gen 2 image tubes.

happy with product
Steven B.(?) was the technician I talked with when I called. I explained the reasons and purpose I wanted to purchase night vision gear and what my budget was. He recommended the Spark monocular; it being the best in quality and price for my needs. I was really happy with the discount he provided when I explained the price I could get the product elsewhere. It took me a little while before I was able to really go out and try the Spark monocular and I couldn't be happier with the price and quality. Steven was a great help and I am so glad that he recommended the Spark. Thanks for all your help with this purchase. Couldn't have been a better experience.

NV on a budget
This is a good beginner product but it pretty much does what a sony handy cam does. The head set is not worth anything. Its uncomfortable and does not distribute the weight of the piece well. I had to remove the velcro padding so the lens would fit nicely against my eye. If your on a budget it will give you 10-20 feet of solid NV. I was looking for something that I could climb a ladder with @night but it doesn't have a dimmer so when i get close to a wall it gets real bright. Looking into getting the XLR IR850 with the correct mount so I can add dimming capabilities. Its my first piece. It definitely won't be my last. regards steve

Excellent product
I am new to night vision so I purposely purchased this unit to get my feet wet. I have to say that I am pretty impressed with the clarity/image quality of this unit as well as the ease to use. I wear corrective lenses and I can take them off and adjust the diopter and focus lense to acquire a crisp image. For the price, you cannot beat the value you will receive. They simply work very well. Can see no problem approximately 100 yards, very clear sight at approx. 50 yards. Purchased the IR810 IR illuminator with this product and it really lights up areas of shadows. Dark areas about 100 yds + are visible. I really like this unit and have no regrets whatsoever. Also, customer service with Steve B. is exceptional. He spent a good amount of time answering questions I had about future products I want to buy. I will continue to do business with The Night Vision Guys. Also, been outside on a cloudy night and the performance of the spark was still as good as clear night. Thumbs up.

For the price if you want versatile quality gear buy it.
I am an Iraq war vet I rolled with pvs14s strapped to my melon every night. These aren't there counterparts when it comes to long time wear on missions. These however are very close, I was impressed with the image clarity and the construction of the body gives its military brethren a run for the money. We were hard on our gear and we never had a set of 14s go down or get busted it was usually the mounts. I highly recommend this along with the head gear. Also if your a shooter it co sights perfectly with most standard height tactical scopes and NV red dots with the mount.Very versatile and tough The Ir is fine for the intentions of the goggle but with zoom optics go with an ir light.

Question
what kind of useful vision range does this get?
From Lawrence on Aug 19, 2014
Answer
Useful range is a very subjective concept. Some people find it useful to see where the tree line is. Others want to see an animal and recognize what it is. With this night vision goggle, Spark-G you can expect to be able to see a person size figure at about 120 yards and recognize who they are at around 50 - 70 yards. A lot depends on the ambient light and / or power of your IR illuminator. The CORE technology gives you high resolution and no fisheye effect but this is still a Gen1 unit in terms of light amplification.
Question
What is the difference between the spark core and the spark-g iit core.
From carl on Nov 30, 2014
Answer
Hi Carl. They are the same unit - Armasight Spark Night Vision monocular with CORE technology. The only difference is that Spark-G is a goggle package which comes with a headgear set.
Question
Can I use this optic setup using my left eye only , as am near blind I the right eye, don't want to buy before knowing this.
From name on Dec 06, 2014
Answer
Yes. This night vision goggle is symmetrical so can be used on either eye.
Question
Will I be able to view my target through my mounted scope without the use of a 3x lens added?
From RETSGT on Mar 25, 2016
Answer
Hi. I want to make sure I understand your question correctly. If you are asking if this device can be used to aim at night while having it mounted on your head and looking though a daytime scope mounted on your weapon, then the answer is no for most cases. You will be able to use it with an NV enabled holographic sight for close range aiming. To turn your daytime scope into a night vision capable device, you would need to use a night vision clip-on. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Question
Does this come with the Armasight flip up head gear? I don't mean the helmet-attachment, I mean the standalone headgear with attachment.
From Steve on Nov 30, 2017
Answer
Hi Steve. That is exactly what Goggle Kit is. It is the headgear in addition to the spark monocular.
Question
What kind of military helmet Mount do I need
From Chris on Sep 26, 2018
Answer
Hi Chris. Are you saying that you do not want to use the harness that comes with this package?
