Night Owl Tactical Goggles BG1
The Pulsar Edge GS 1x20 is primarily designed for use as night vision goggles (the device can also be mounted on a Head Mount included in the box). The Edge GS 1x20 Night Vision Goggles are equipped with an energy-conserving IR Illuminator with adjustable power. IR power adjustment wheel and other control elements are located on top of the device. At the core of the Edge GS 1x20 NV Goggles is a unique combination of specially designed optics, CF-Super Image Intensifier Tube, and wide-angled five-lens eyepiece which provides lack of distortion and the highest edge-to-edge resolution performance.
Built-in IR Flashlight
The Pulsar Edge night vision binocular is equipped with an energy conserving wide angle short range IR illumination. The Device can be affixed to a head mount and used with goggles.
Body
The housing of metal and plastic ensures extra durability during usage. The Edge has an IP44 degree of protection [IEC 60529], i. e. this device is protected against water and dust which increases the range of its use.
NV Compact Head Mount
The NV Compact Head mount allows hands-free operation of the night vision device in partial and complete darkness. The head mount ensures a stable positioning of a night vision device in front of the user's eyes while in fast motion (pacing, running, abrupt movements). The head mount is simple and convenient to use. Minimal protrusion of the suspension point reduces fatigue and load on the user's neck if operated for long periods of time. The head mount can also be paired with a camouflage cover.
Controls
The Edge night vision binocular is easy to operate. The device and IR illuminator are switched by pressing buttons (On and IR respectively) located on the upper surface of the binocular's body. Additionally, the Edge binoculars are equipped with a gradual IR illuminator power adjustment function . The wheel-shaped power controller is located next to the IR illuminator activation button.
Eyepiece
The device is outfitted with a new five-lens eyepiece that minimizes distortion on the edges of the field of view and increases the sharpness and contrast of the image. The soft rubber eye-cups conceals the light emission from the tube thus permitting a user to stay unnoticed.
CF-Super Image Intensifier Tube
At the core of the Edge GS line is the unique combination of the specifically designed R-Contact optics and the CF-Supper Image Intensifier Tube, which provides the highest edge-to-edge resolution performance ever seen in a budget consumer Night Vision product.

Gen 1 Night Vision
1st generation is currently the most popular type of night vision in the world. Utilizing the basic principles described in detail in our guide, a 1st generation unit will amplify the existing light several thousand times letting you clearly see in the dark. These units provide a bright and sharp image at a low cost, which is perfect, whether you are boating, observing wildlife, or providing security for your home. You may notice the following when you are looking through a 1st Gen. unit. A slight high-pitched whine when the unit is on. The image you see may be slightly blurry around the edges. This is known as Geometric Distortion. When you turn a 1st Gen. unit off it may glow green for some time. These are inherent characteristics of a 1st Gen. unit and are normal.

Question
Will this unit work with a pvs-14 mount on a helmet?
From John Michael O'Heren on Feb 11, 2015
Answer
Hi John. This Edge GS is a night vision goggle comes with it's own head mount and to my knowledge is not compatible with the pvs14 mount directly. You would need to obtain an adapter to get this to work.
Question
Is there a mount for use on a helmet during tactical situations with this NVG?
From WayneK on May 02, 2015
Answer
To our knowledge there is no adapter that Pulsar makes for Edge GS nv goggle to attach to the standard helmet mount. It is possible that there is something on the market that would work, but we are not aware of it.
