Question
Can the Armasight Avenger Gen 2+ ID Night Vision Monocular be fitted with a larger magnification lens? I see 10X versions for sale can I add a 5x or 10X lens to this monocular?
From Jim on Mar 13, 2016
Answer
Hi Jim. Armasight Avenger night vision monocular does not come with any accessory lens options. Armasight Sirius is a better option if you are looking for versatility as it has many optional accessories including 3x and 5x lenses: http://www.nightvisionguys.com/armasight-sirius-id-mg-multi-purpose-night-vision-monocular-with-manual-gain-control-improved-definition-generation-2-nsmsirius12mdi1
Question
I am trying to decide between the Armasight Avenger Gen 2+ ID Night Vision Monocular and the ATN Night Spirit-2 Gen 2+. Can you help me decide which would work better for home security in a rural location for 100 yard visibility? Thanks
From Jim on Mar 13, 2016
Answer
Hi Jim. They are very similar units. However, since you are comparing Armasight Avenger ID vs Night Spirit 2, I would have to say that Avenger is better because the IR tube is equivalent to the CGT generation of the Spirit (which is next level after regular Gen 2). I would certainly recommend going with either Avenger ID or Spirit CGT. Between those two units you cannot go wrong. Just pick the one that works best for you in terms of price. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
