Pulsar 805 IR Flashlight Night Vision Accessories
Pulsar's high-power IR flashlights include a variable beam that can be smoothly adjusted from narrow beam to flood. Unfocused beam illuminates larger areas; the narrow beam light ensures the longest possible viewing distance. The design of Pulsar IR Flashlights allow spot position to be corrected in the field of view horizontally and vertically. To do this, loosen the ring fixing optical assembly, adjust the IR spot in the center of the field of the view (the NV unit should be on) and tighten the ring again. Featuring a weaver rail mountable to fit all Pulsar designs, the 805 IR Flashlight is equipped with focusable beam, adjustable collimation and smooth brightness control. Powered by 2AA batteries, it does not drain the internal power storage of a night vision device.

On the fly adjustment
I love this IR light. I mounted it on the fore grip of my rifle on a 45 degree mount. I can use my thumb to adjust the power without having to move my position. Very cool on the fly adjustment when you get into a lot of clutter. The beam can be adjusted to fill your view so where you mount it isn't an issue. It is light tough and I like the fact I can just throw some everyday AA's in it. Very good option for a scope or just to carry as a flash light paired with NVGs for further out objects. It is rail ready but will not mount on a flat rail a rail that has a wire channel through the center or you can buy a throw mount thats channeled for $8 from cheaper than dirt they have tons of rail equipment to help organize and adjust height of your gear. I recommend a 45 degree mount on carbines or compact rails it helps move the light from the grip area.

Question
what is the usable range of the 805 vs 940 ir flashlight? to be used for predator hunting. thanks rich

Answer
Hi Rich. Here is a quick summary: 805 would be brighter but more visible to animals, 850 tends to be the ideal balance, with 940 being least visible and typically best for really long range and high generation sensitive scopes. Please let us know if you have any questions.
