The AGM PVS-14 2AA (Generation 2+ with minimum 64lp/mm resolution) night vision monocular is a rugged, lightweight, multi-purpose night vision device that has repeatedly proven itself in combat. The PVS-14 design was originally commissioned by the United States Military to enable nighttime operations. This monocular is used globally in some of the most challenging environments. The PVS-14 can be used as a handheld device or mounted on the included head harness. With the proper accessories, it can also be mounted to combat helmets or weapons, providing night vision capabilities to daytime optical sights. The PVS-14 monocular conforms to 810G Military standards and demonstrates the highest quality form and function.
The PVS-14 2AA monocular is a full-featured unit. Weighing less than 14 ounces/ 0.39 kilograms. The unit includes manual gain control, an automatic bright light shut-off feature, a built-in Infrared (IR) illuminator and powered by two AA batteries. The bright light shut-off feature ensures that the high-quality photocathode tube is protected. AGM’s PVS-14 includes an array of optional accessories to support virtually any operation.

Awesome!
I was hesitant to go with gen 2+ over gen 3 but I couldn't turn down this package deal. I will say I'm extremely happy with my purchase, I let my buddy who runs gen3 try the pvs14 and he had no idea it was gen 2+ until I told him. My tube is crisp and bright with no blems and I am very pleased. The thermal that comes with this deal is awesome as well and I'll definitely be throwing it in my duty bag to use at work.
