NOTE: The unit is shown with an optional weaver mount. Regular IR-940 does not come with a mount. Mount needs to be purchased separately.

The IR-940 IR Illuminator the perfect device for those who wish to remain completely undetected by their subjects. The 940nM wavelength is almost completely invisible to the naked eye.Because the wavelength is so long there will be some loss of illumination range as compared to 805nM devices. The IR-940 features a fixed beam and simple push-button on-off controls located on top of the device. This versatile device can be hand-held or weapon or night vision device mounted. The IR-940 IR illuminator works best with Generation 3 night vision.IR illuminators mount easily on night vision or CCD devices or can be hand-held. Ideal aid for extreme low light conditions. Significantly extends capabilities of weapon sights, observation devices and photographic equipment.Because the performance of any night vision or low-light CCD device is dependent on ambient light, magnification, atmospheric transparency, and contrast between the target and its background, addition of the right IR Illuminator can significantly enhance visual acuity and extend detection ranges.Capabilities of IR Illuminators are a function of ambient conditions, power and wavelength. Effective range is a function of power and wavelength. Higher power and shorter wavelengths result in longer ranges.
